The All-NEW 2013 Pathfinder
The fully redesigned 2013 Nissan Pathfinder offers great fuel economy, and reviewers like its comfortable ride and intuitive interior features.
The redesigned Pathfinder ditches its truck-based platform in favor of a more refined unibody chassis for 2013, and reviewers are pleased with the update. While some complain about the loss of the outgoing model's off-road capability, nearly all welcome the new model's comfortable ride and composed handling. They are also pleased with its V6 engine and continuously variable transmission. The Pathfinder's fuel economy, at an EPA-estimated 20/6 mpg city/highway, is also very good for the class.
Reviewers also are pleased with the new Pathfinder's cabin as well. They say its interior uses high-quality materials and has a pleasing design. Critics report that the seats are mostly comfortable, though some say the third row is a bit cramped, which is a typical complaint for the class. However, they like the Pathfinder's innovative middle seat, which allows much easier access to the third row than many rivals. The Pathfinder is competitively equipped, with standard features like tri-zone automatic climate control and a six-speaker stereo. Features like leather seats, heated front- and middle-row seats, Bluetooth, navigation and a Bose stereo are optional. Critics also like that the Pathfinder's infotainment/navigation system is fairly easy to learn, which isn't always the case with competitors.
